Originally constructed in 1972, the Port Neches Fire Station was replaced with an 11,773-square-foot, single-story facility designed to modernize emergency operations, expand training capabilities, and withstand severe coastal weather.

The station includes four apparatus bays, offices for leadership and administrative staff, and dedicated rooms for logistics and planning. A large training room doubles as an emergency operations center to support citywide response needs.

Interior amenities feature a full-service kitchen, laundry room, and four dorm rooms, each with private restrooms and showers. Additional spaces accommodate bunker gear lockers, documentation storage, air pack equipment, and general supplies.

A prominent three-story drill tower enhances training with an interior stair, rooftop ladder with manhole, standpipe, and sprinkler system. A secondary exterior caged ladder provides access to the roof, complete with a transfer landing and protected window openings.

Engineered for long-term durability, the pre-manufactured metal building system is designed to withstand Category 4 hurricane winds. Split-faced concrete masonry with cast stone accents reinforces the structure’s resilience while establishing a strong civic presence.
