City of League City Fire Station No. 2 Expansion
League City, TX
Originally opened in 1979, Fire Station No. 2 required significant upgrades to meet the needs of League City’s growing population and evolving emergency service demands.

A 9,200-square-foot addition expands operational capacity while respecting the character of the original structure.
The expansion adds two vehicle bays for EMS operations along with improved interior spaces, including offices, a kitchen and recreation area, sleeping quarters, and updated training facilities. Together, these enhancements strengthen the station’s role as a critical emergency hub for the Texas Gulf Coast.
Designed for long-term resilience, the building is engineered to withstand Category 4 hurricane winds and sits nearly one foot above the 500-year flood plain. Full backup power ensures continuous operations during outages, enabling uninterrupted emergency response even in the most demanding conditions.
