City of Austin Del Valle Fire + EMS Station
Austin, TX
To improve emergency response in underserved areas of Austin and Travis County, the City of Austin launched a program to deliver five combination Fire and EMS stations across the region.

As the first in the series, the Del Valle Fire + EMS Station establishes the standard for design, performance, and community impact.
The 12,500-square-foot facility combines a bold, modern design with the 24-hour operational needs of fire and EMS personnel. It includes four drive-through apparatus bays, a fueling station, and a detached 6,000-square-foot metal building for EMS vehicle storage. This support building plays a critical role during large-scale events at the nearby Circuit of the Americas.
Interior spaces feature 12 two-bed sleeping rooms, five full restrooms, a fitness center, and a 1,100-square-foot kitchen and dayroom. A large, covered deck provides staff with a dedicated outdoor space for rest and recovery between calls.
