The facility includes one district courtroom and one magistrate courtroom, with infrastructure in place for two additional courtrooms. Primary tenants include the U.S. Courts, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Attorneys, and U.S. Probation.

Balancing security with public accessibility, the design features a multi-story glass lobby facing U.S. Highway 1, creating a transparent and welcoming public entry. Traditional materials and architectural elements reflect the character of Fort Pierce, with water views accessible from all levels.

As Architect-of-Record, PGAL collaborated with design architects Merrill, Pastor & Colgan Architects to deliver a civic landmark that departs from the feel of a typical office building.
