Constructed on a constrained site that previously served as the station’s parking lot, the new facilities were completed while keeping daily rail service fully operational. The 98,000-square-foot headquarters houses a 175-seat commission chamber, management offices, a secure public reception area, and a dramatic open atrium with a communicating spiral stair. A 24/7/365 Command Center with N+1 backup redundancy ensures continuous operations.

The adjacent 477-car parking garage incorporates rooftop photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging stations, and other sustainable features. Serving both SFRTA staff and daily commuters, the garage connects directly to the headquarters and surrounding infrastructure.
