Crack Shack Costa Mesa

The 6,700-square-foot space blends adaptive reuse with playful detailing to create a welcoming setting for locally sourced cuisine, craft drinks, and outdoor games.

Open-air counter service and communal seating foster a casual, social dining experience. Interior finishes such as reclaimed corrugated metal and native Torrey Pine wood highlight the restaurant’s eco-conscious approach. Custom chicken-themed murals by artist Matt Forderer add a whimsical layer of character, while a vertical garden overlooks a recreational area designed for lawn games like corn hole.

The result is a dynamic space that balances sustainability, creativity, and community, offering guests an atmosphere that is both distinctive and approachable.
