United Airlines B Check Hangar at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

The design of this aircraft maintenance hangar at George Bush Intercontinental Airport features a pre-engineered metal structure with a roof and three sidewalls, using the existing concrete apron as the floor slab.

United Airlines uses the 55,499-square-foot hangar and 1,600-square-foot pump house to conduct ongoing maintenance on Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The hangar features linear skylights, translucent wall panels, three tug access overhead coiling doors, an overhead hoist-up hangar door, and a five zone fall protection system.

PGAL also oversaw the relocation and installation of site utilities, re-striping of existing parking lot, and landscaping.
