PGAL Recognized as “Designer of the Year” by Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

PGAL was honored with the Designer of the Year award by Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) at the airport’s annual Business Opportunities Forum, where the airport recognized key partners contributing to its mission and growth. The award highlights PGAL’s continued commitment to design excellence, innovation, and collaboration, as well as the firm’s decades-long partnership with one of the world’s busiest and most forward-thinking airports.

In presenting the award, DFW noted, “The dedication and skill of these professionals underscore the excellence that DFW strives for in all its endeavors.”

“DFW has been a valued partner for many years, and we are deeply honored to be recognized for the design leadership and teamwork that define our ongoing collaboration,” said Michael H. Lloyd, AIA, PGAL Principal. “Our shared focus on delivering transformative, resilient, and efficient airport environments drives every project we undertake together.”

PGAL’s current work at DFW includes two major capital programs that represent the airport’s vision for the future of travel and operations. The new Terminal F program features a roughly 400,000-square-foot concourse designed to add 15 new gates in its initial phase, utilizing modular construction techniques that streamline delivery and enhance passenger experience. The firm is also leading the design-build effort for DFW’s Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Facilities, which consolidate four existing stations into two state-of-the-art, 96,000-square-foot hubs that advance emergency response capabilities and operational efficiency.

Together, these projects exemplify PGAL’s multidisciplinary approach and its ability to deliver world-class design solutions that align with DFW’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability.
