Bob Hope Airport RITC Wins ENR Award of Merit

The Bob Hope Airport Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC) has been named a 2014 ENR Merit Award winner in the Airports/Transit Category. PGAL served as prime design consultant, architect and rental car planner for this truly intermodal facility in Southern California.

PGAL collaborated with the entire Build RITC Team, including the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, LA Metro, the City of Burbank, the Rental Car Industry, McCarthy Building Companies and gkk/STV Program Managers. The project was selected by a panel of 12 judges out of 140 submissions located throughout California and Hawaii. The new 850,000 SF facility serves multiple modes of transportation, including airport public parking, rental cars, regional buses, bicycles and regional heavy rail. The project and team will be honored at the annual awards ceremony in Long Beach on December 4.
