Federal Courthouse Wins FL AIA Design Award

In a competition that drew 300 entries, the $42M, 124,000 SF Alto Lee Adams, Sr. U.S. Court House has earned an AIA Florida/Caribbean 2013 Merit Award of Excellence. Delivered on a tight budget and LEED Gold Certified, the courthouse was a GSA Design Excellence project. PGAL was Architect of Records/Courts Design Specialist with Merrill, Pastor & Colgan as Design Architect. Features include monumental steps and ramp, a 110 ft window wall framing a four-story atrium lobby, a 135 ft covered porch, and an 80 ft by 300 ft public garden.
