PGAL Wins Prestigious Orchid Award for Historic Renovation

The 44th annual Orchids & Onions Awards Gala was held online on October 1, 2020. The awards, put on by the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF), address the best and worst projects and developments in San Diego. Over the course of four months, San Diegans consider, nominate, and vote for their favorite (and least favorite) projects, places, and spaces, and culminate with the annual awards gala.

This year, PGAL was awarded a prestigious Orchid Award for Historical Renovation for The Guild Hotel in downtown San Diego. Formerly the Historic YMCA constructed in the 1920s, the building, purchased by Oram Hotels, was renovated and converted into a modern, high-end hotel, lounge and restaurant.
