  • Construction Administrator/Construction Inspector

    We are currently seeking a talented Construction Administrator/Construction Inspector with 10+ years of experience who is interested in providing project and construction coordination services.

    Responsibilities:
    - Lead construction administration activities at project site for the design team
    - Understand and fulfill terms and conditions of owner - architectural agreement and owner
    - General Contractor Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract requirements and deliverables
    - Communicate with the PGAL project team and consultants on project issues in a timely and well-organized manners
    - Assess design intent, special features, schedule and budget along with client expectations for the design team and the owner
    - Maintain PGAL record set documents, including filing, organization, updating with revisions and request for information (RFI) responses, etc
    - Monitor project for construction document and reoccurring client standards compliance
    - Review and issue document revisions as prepared by design team
    - Review generated revisions for quality, coordination, and accuracy with cause for revision
    - Issue revisions to the design team, file, and record in record documents
    - Lead shop drawing/submittal review process, by PGAL and consultants, to ensure timely review
    - Lead RFI review process, by PGAL and consultants, to ensure timely response
    - Provide site visits and attend all project meetings and coordination with CMAR
    - Perform site visits for observation of project progress and quality review
    - Prepare field observation reports, including project progress, observations, discussions with CMAR staff, photographs, etc. and distribute to the design team
    - Attend Owner/Architect/Construction (OAC) meetings and record accurate meeting minutes
    - Promptly close action items generated during OAC meetings
    - Serve as PGAL’s primary point of contact with design team, CMAR, and owner
    - Serve as liaison/mediator between owner(s) and contractor(s) as needed
    - Coordinate generation of all construction punch-lists and follow-up
    - Attend Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) inspections and site visits
    - Review and comment on daily field observations of the work as prepared by CMAR. Provide monthly reports confirming compliance
    - Review and comment on material tickets and recording of field quality assurance tests and surveys as provided by CMAR
    - Review and confirm daily measurement of actual work and quantity reports of actual construction progress as provided by CMAR
    - Coordinate with CMAR and owner to ensure pre-planning and communication for utility shut downs or interruptions and potential operational impacts
    - Coordinate weekly with owner the ongoing weekly scheduled construction phasing and sequencing to minimize operational impacts
    - Coordinate with CMAR for all quality acceptance testing requirements
    - Conduct daily on-site observations of the work in progress to determine if the work is in general proceeding in accordance with the contract documents
    - Report to design team and owner whenever work is believed to be unsatisfactory, faulty or defective or does not conform to the contract documents, or has been damaged, or does not meet the requirements of any inspection, test or approval required to be made
    - Maintain orderly files of correspondence, submittals and samples, copies of contract documents including all work directive changes, addenda, change orders, field orders, additional drawings issued subsequent to the execution of the contract, RFI’s, progress reports, and other project related documents
    - File all documents per the owner’s project filing requirements
    - Identify and track potential additional service activities required by owner or CMAR
    - Review change order requests promptly and provide recommendations to owner
    - Forward and track engineering scope change order requests to consultants
    - Review and recommend certification of payment applications to the architect-of-record
    - Receive and distribute closeout documentation from CMAR to design team
    - Review and respond with required corrections or needed additional information as applicable
    - Coordinate organization of closeout documentation required
    - Assist design team with project team post construction closeout, including lessons learned discussion
    - Attend the substantial completion walk through and assist the design team with the development of the final punchlist from this inspection
    - Provide weekly updates to punchlist through completion

    Qualifications:
    - Bachelor’s degree in construction science and/or management, architecture, or engineering
    - Ten (10) years combined experience in architecture, engineering, or construction industry firm
    - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    - Excellent grasp of building technology fundamentals
    - Ability to effectively and confidently prioritize and execute tasks with many competing priorities
    - Clear verbal and written communication skills

    We are currently seeking a BIM/CAD Specialist who is interested in contributing to and thriving in a positive, mentoring studio environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Include, but not limited to,

    - Provide Revit/BIM/CAD management, and support for the firm’s projects
    - Work collaboratively with current BIM Managers in the firm
    - Assist project teams with advanced Revit/AutoCAD modeling requirements, content creation, and coordination efforts
    - Implement scripts/macros in Revit/Dynamo and AutoCAD to automate and streamline project workflows
    - Manage and organize Revit detail and family libraries for use between projects
    - Develop and implement Revit standards, and coordinate standards for specific project requirements

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    - Expert level of knowledge of Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD workflows and problem solving
    - Experience with Navisworks is a plus
