International architecture, engineering and planning firm
commemorates its legacy and looks to the future.

As PGAL marks its 70th anniversary in 2016, the international architecture, engineering and planning firm has unveiled a new brand identity to commemorate its rich legacy and position the practice for future success.

Celebrating a history that began in 1946 when architect George Pierce launched his practice in a back room of Walter P. Moore's Houston office, PGAL has evolved through seven decades, hundreds of successful client relationships and an increasingly enviable project portfolio.

Today, the firm employs more than 200 people in 11 regional offices, and its clients represent a diverse range of market sectors, including Aviation, Civic, Education, Engineering, Hospitality, Financial, Healthcare, Justice, Residential and Corporate/Commercial.

To celebrate PGAL’s distinctive role in the marketplace, the firm has introduced a 70th anniversary tagline that will be integrated in PGAL’s materials throughout 2016: “Trusted Legacy. Responsive Design. Exceptional Service.”

“As PGAL has continued to grow and broaden our expertise, we’ve remained true to our vision of operating as a highly collaborative firm that delivers unmatched service to our clients,” says PGAL CEO Jeff Gerber, AIA. “Our 70th anniversary provides a terrific opportunity to double down on that commitment for another 70 years and beyond.”

PGAL has also introduced a new brand identity that conveys a unified, consistent message across the firm’s 11 regional offices. With a clean, fresh and contemporary aesthetic, PGAL’s new business materials reflect the firm’s diverse expertise and highly collaborative culture while embracing its rich legacy.

The centerpiece of the rebranding initiative is the firm’s dynamic new website, accessible at www.pgal.com. The site communicates PGAL’s broad expertise through large project imagery, simple navigation and a compelling point of view. Responsive to all Internet browsers and mobile devices, it delivers a consistent experience to all visitors, regardless of platform used.

In addition, PGAL has introduced a new, bolder logo that features the firm’s initials inside a red square to convey PGAL’s recognized design expertise and reinforce its strong brand equity in the marketplace.

“Our new brand identity establishes a signature style that reflects our strongly rooted design solutions to effectively position our multiple offices and service lines,” said PGAL President Ken Brown, AIA. “The use of striking, large imagery anchors our new website and translates seamlessly to all of our new branded materials.”
