"000" High School
The new 2,703-student station, 281,000-square-foot high school, designed in conjunction with joint venture partner SchenkelShultz, is the first new high school for the District in over a decade.
The school is designed as a much-needed reliever school for the rapid population growth in central Palm Beach County. Located on a 46-acre site, the campus is designed as two buildings and features a secure courtyard for students and staff. The academic building is a three-story building with administration, media center, classrooms, and lab spaces. The arts building is a one-story building featuring an 855-seat auditorium and program for music, dance, and visual arts. The south end of arts building is anchored by the kitchen/dining facility featuring a food court and outdoor covered dining.
The athletic complex features a 4,000-seat lighted football stadium with press box and fieldhouse/concessions building and a lighted baseball and softball field. The athletic complex is rounded out with two practice fields and tennis and basketball courts. A community entrance is designed for the gymnasium, auditorium, and athletic fields without accessing the entire school.
