BOS Terminal C to B Connector Earns ENR Best Project Award

PGAL’s Aviation design expertise is showcased in the 2023 Best Projects Awards presented by Engineering News-Record (ENR) New England. Judges tapped the Terminal C to B Connector at Logan International Airport (BOS) as “Best Project” in the Airport/Transit category.

In collaboration with the Prime Architect, Fennick McCreddie Architecture, PGAL provided Architecture, Interior Design, and Wayfinding services on the project. Suffolk Construction served as Construction Manager at Risk.

The design team collaborated with the Massachusetts Port Authority to develop a building scheme linking the two distinct Terminal buildings, creating architectural cohesion from the exterior airside perspective. Enhancements include clear and cohesive wayfinding, passenger amenities such as nursing mothers’ room, Service Animal Relief Areas, a variety of fixed and lounge seating, charging devices throughout, as well as elevated concessions offerings.

Located across a six-state region, all nominated projects were evaluated in several areas, including construction/design quality, ability to overcome challenges, safety performance, and contributions to the industry and community.

The BOS Terminal C to B Connector will be profiled in the November print issue of ENR New England and honored at an awards event in Boston.
