Bethel Park Named ULI Award Finalist

Bethel Church Park, a historic landmark preserved and converted to new use by the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department, has been named a finalist in Houston's Urban Land Development (ULI) Development of Distinction awards. A distinguished panel of judges from around the country toured the project and winners will be announced in January. Bethel Park occupies the downtown site of an 1890's Baptist Church which was rebuilt in 1950 and nearly destroyed by fire in 2005. The half-acre site now houses a 5,600 SF open-air park/museum within the restored façade. PGAL teamed with landscape architecture firm White Oak Studio on the project design.
