International Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport

Terminal 3 Construction is Underway at LAS

PGAL is serving as Prime Consultant and lead architect for the design of the new $2 billion International Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. The project includes a 1.8 million SF Terminal building on three levels that will provide 14 new aircraft gates (6 International swing gates), provide terminal facilities for an existing 30-gate Concourse that is linked by an ATS people mover system, and a new Central Plant to serve these new facilities. The project is scheduled for completion in 2012.

International gates will accommodate a range of aircraft including wide body aircraft and serve as “swing gates” to provide additional domestic gate capacity as needed. Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facilities will be provided to process arriving international passengers at a rate of 1,600 international arriving passengers per hour. FIS design incorporates Customs and Border Protection 'Model Ports of Entry' design elements as well as 'Global Entry' expedited processing.

The design features multiple security screening checkpoints and baggage claim devices that serve both international and domestic operations. The Terminal facilities will provide services for 44 gates and include ticketing, security screening checkpoints, outbound baggage operations with in-line EDS screening, inbound baggage and baggage claim facilities, concessions (including retail, food and beverage and gaming) and airline support. The Terminal is supported by a new roadway system and 6,000 car parking structure.
