The 1910 Harris County Courthouse is one of the most significant historical buildings in Houston and considered one of the most significant historic courthouses in Texas. The Harris County Courthouse remains a cornerstone for downtown and may potentially play a role in the influence and fate of surrounding historic structures.
PGAL was selected to develop an architectural program for the Harris County Courthouse 1910 Restoration. As a Texas Historic Landmark, this facility will be transformed back to its original condition, integrating necessary functionally alterations while preserving its historic fabric. The Courthouse will be reestablished into the judiciary corridor, proudly expressing an image of civic dignity, judicial decency and community pride.
