PGAL designed the 40,000 SF Texas Capital Bank as a new bank catering to upper income individuals and small and large businesses. Choosing the 2100 McKinney Building in Dallas was a conscious decision to select a location that gave an image of elegance and class, but not opulence.

In conceptualizing the image for the interiors of their new corporate headquarters, the change was to continue the image of class and elegance, plus incorporate in a Texas vernacular to the traditional stately bank. In addition, this image would be used for all of the branch facilities throughout Texas. This was accomplished by developing a palette of warm limestone, cool granite, and a creative use of mahogany and cherry. This palette was then applied in a traditional setting using classic moldings, raised panels, dry wall coffers, and divided glass walls. The play of the light and dark woods on the light and dark stones reinforces the traditional image while still maintaining a contemporary business atmosphere. Intricacies of the millwork and stone flooring required superb craftsmanship.
