PGAL has provided a broad array of capabilities for this 48-year-old high school's phased replacement from master planning to programming, preparation of a Castaldi Analysis followed by full a/e design services. The objective is to unify and modernize the site, providing extensive utility infrastructure upgrades, establishing new site circulation patterns, providing 60 new classrooms in new two-story and three-story classroom buildings, and adding a new locker, music, concession buildings while maintaining the safety and security of an operational school. An important feature of this work focuses on the creation of a new "front door" for the campus to foster community and student pride, orient visitors to the campus, and alleviate daily traffic flow problems. Sitework includes upgrades to staff and student parking, new parent drop-off and bus loops, and the creation of an academic quadrangle at the heart of the campus. Also designed new central plant. Remodeling program includes TV production and ROTC facilities.
