PGAL designed the 119,700 GSF Allamanda Elementary School replacement project which entails the demolition of the existing facility, which is mostly comprised of buildings originally designed in the 1960s. The school holds the largest population of ESE students in Palm Beach County and, as such, requires special attention to design from a wayfinding, visual control and safety standpoint. The project provides 8 kindergarten classrooms, 12 primary classrooms, 10 intermediate classrooms, 12 self-contained ESE classrooms, and 3 part-time ESE classrooms. Facility support spaces including Administration, Media Center, Cafeteria, Teacher Planning areas, Music, Art, and Physical Education areas are also part of the program.
