The 10,000 SF Lauderhill Library is part of a municipal complex located on a vacant 22-acre site along Broward County's busiest east-west corridor. The buildings will be oriented along West Oakland Park Boulevard where vehicular access is to the south, while pedestrian-friendly activities will be to the north along the existing lakefront.
The library, the most public of community buildings, will be at the eastern edge and is designed to have a strong identity that is pedestrian-friendly, while fitting into the scale of the surrounding neighborhood. Interior spaces are organized around public and staff circulations, with services provided for its varied patrons.
