City of Houston Fire Station #24
Houston, Texas
Construction Cost: $2.75M
Completion Date: 2005
The City of Houston selected PGAL to design their new single story, 3-bay fire station to house an engine, ambulance, and squad. For this new 12,000 SF facility, PGAL evaluated all factors for efficiency, environmental factors, and cost effectiveness. The new station will be a "home away from home" for firefighters and paramedics. The facility features state-of-the-art technology and a clean room for sterilizing equipment. The facility will enable rapid deployment of emergency personnel to affected sites, and will also be accessible by the general public. PGAL's services include schematic design, design documentation, construction documents, and construction administration. Construction for this $2,750,000 facility is expected to begin in 2004.
