Program:
- Regional Fire Rescue Station is located in the industrial district of Fort Lauderdale, located on the north and east side of the Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

New station will have four drive-thru apparatus bays to support the following equipment; an ALS Tower, two ALS Rescue Vehicles, an ALS Engine, and two Technical Squad Trailers.
Innovations:
- Station will be on 100% emergency power with additional fuel to supply the apparatus equipment.
- Station will support two types of crews. There will be a 24/7 crew, which consists of twelve fire-rescue personnel, four lieutenants, and a Battalion Chief. The other crew works a regular 40-hour week, which consists of five fire rescue personnel and two captains.
- Since the station is adjacent to a city park and places of business, a small exam room is provided to treat a walk-up patient.

On this site will be a 6,000 square foot, 6-story training tower with a 50-foot apron for staging and typical windows and balconies found in the South Florida region to practice rappelling and ladder exercises.

Large open rooms provide the construction of removable partitions to create a maze of dark and confining spaces.

Within the tower a mock three-story elevator shaft with actual doors is provides for related exercises. A small opening at the top of the shaft is provided for a tri-pod exercise and confinement exercise.
- Two small attic spaces located at various floor levels are provided to conduct interior and exterior exercises. A standpipe will be provided within the stairwell to conduct hose exercises and one floor will be sprinklered.
